The Shanghai Museum hosted its first cat-friendly event on July 26. A total of 250 beautifully-dressed cats gathered at the exhibition, On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt, under the guidance of their owners, embarking on a wonderful journey.
In Ancient Egypt, Bastet, the cat goddess, was regarded as a symbol of protection and spirituality. The Egyptian worship of the cat goddess transcended the boundaries of time and space, coinciding with the current love for cats among people.
