Shanghai has launched its 2024 China International Import Expo (CIIE) Gourmet Month and "Delicious Travel" city tour to offer attendees of the 7th CIIE an array of culinary and cultural experiences.

The initiative, organized by the radio arm of Shanghai Media Group (SMG) and supported by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, features exclusive discounts and new menu offerings at over 1,000 global taste restaurants and 100 renowned local establishments, encouraging exploration of Shanghai's food scene. 

The "Delicious Travel City Life" list was also unveiled, highlighting 10 commercial landmarks like Daning Music Plaza and Metro City, recognized for their unique blend of culture, cuisine, and tourism.

Adding a touch of tradition, the event introduced the "Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Theme Cruise". This culinary journey aboard the Adora Magic City cruise ship features authentic Chinese cuisine prepared by renowned chefs, sailing from Shanghai to Jeju in South Korea and Fukuoka in Japan.

To further enrich the visitor experience, the Qingpu district introduced the "Meet in Qingpu" initiative, a comprehensive guide encompassing tourism, transportation, accommodation, dining, and entertainment options, positioning Qingpu as a convenient and exciting destination for CIIE attendees.
